Hello again,

In my previous email, I forgot to mention that effective this Saturday (14 November), the VOA Radiogram transmission Saturday at 0930-1000 UTC will be on the new frequency of 5865 kHz.

With that change, VOA Radiogram will no longer be co-channel with Alcaraván Radio in Colombia on 5910 kHz.

The Saturday 0930-1000 UTC broadcast is nominally directed to the Caribbean, but it is often heard in the Asia-Pacific region and, as we approach the winter solstice, might also be received in Europe.

I’m sure everyone in North America will want to be awake Saturday at 4:30 am, or earlier depending on time zone, to try the new frequency!

VOA Radiogram transmission schedule
(all days and times JST):
Sat 1830-1900 5865 kHz (new)
Sun 0100-0130 17580 kHz
Sun 1130-1200 5745 kHz
Mon 0430-0500 15670 kHz
All via the Edward R. Murrow transmitting station in North Carolina.
